STORM / DRAMA
Lightning
Thunderstorms in the forecast, the setup for a lightning frame.
How it works
When thunderstorms are in the forecast, the code and a convective downpour are the only hints a point forecast gives that lightning is possible. The strikes themselves are never predicted, so treat this as a heads-up to be ready and to shoot from safe cover, never in the open.
What to check in the field
This is a Watch look: the ingredients are forecastable, but the lightning strikes themselves, which no point forecast resolves outside Central Europe; the thunderstorm code is the only hint, so shoot from safe cover. Shotcast flags it so you know to go and look.
See when it's likely near you
Shotcast scores every hour of your forecast for lightning across your saved locations, so you know when the setup lines up and can be ready to shoot it safely from cover.
