Fiery Underlit Storm Clouds
A departing storm deck with a horizon slot for low red light to shoot under.
How it works
As a storm clears, a gap opens on the horizon and low red sunlight shoots underneath the departing cloud deck, lighting it from below. Rare, brief, and spectacular, because everything has to line up at once.
What to check in the field
This is a Watch look: the ingredients are forecastable, but whether a clear slot opens on the horizon at the right moment to underlight the deck. Shotcast flags it so you know to go and look.
