LIGHT QUALITY
Golden Hour Warm Light
Low sun through clean air, a clear horizon, a little high cloud catching warm color.
How it works
Just after sunrise or before sunset the sun sits low and its light travels a long way through the air, which warms it to gold and softens shadows. You want a clear path to the horizon and reasonably clean air for that color to reach you.
What to check in the field
This is a Watch look: the ingredients are forecastable, but whether low cloud sits on the horizon in the sun's direction — the point forecast cannot see the light path. Shotcast flags it so you know to go and look.
